My Approach
My style is mostly documentary. I'm not about structured photos or forced poses, your day is about you and your loved ones, it isn't my photo shoot. Even portraits, nothing too static, no cheesy poses, just two people in love having a fun time with smiles on their faces.
I'm with you to document and tell your story, in a way that reignites memories and connects with those who aren't able to be there in person. What I love so much about wedding days is that everything just happens and that makes it unique. The people, the light, the spontaneous belly laughs, the hats caught by the breeze, each and everyone is unique to your day. No matter how hard you try to recreate it, you'd never experience those moments, your moments, the same again.
I want my images to take you back, so thirty years from now you don't just see your day but you feel it too.

How I Work
After a little happy dance (I still get that pang of joy whenever I hear that email ping), we schedule in an informal chat. Most people don't work with a photographer every day, and it's likely the first time you've ever reached out to one, so I like to keep things laid-back, and informative without being overwhelming. So whether it be in-person over a coffee or screen-to-screen via Zoom, we chat more about your plans. Use this time to ask any questions you may have about me or my work, and get a feel for whether I'm the right fit for your day. We'll be spending a fair bit of time together so it's important we connect professional and personally.
I'm so excited that you've put your trust in me to capture your wedding day. First things first we get you booked in, this secures the date exclusively for you. I'll create, then send across some booking documents. This includes making a deposit payment, reviewing and signing the contract, and completing a consent release. Until these steps are complete, your date is not secured.
Finally, I send you a confirmation email, and...
I won't go radio silent, I'll be in touch to see how you are and how planning is going every now and then. I want to hear it all, the songs that've made it to the playlist, the story of how you met and got engaged, got a dog? I want to know their name! I love details. Have a question, need help, supplier recommendations, or just a listening ear? Please reach out, I love hearing from you. If we're having a pre-wedding Portrait Session we'll start planning that now, jotting down ideas of locations and dates.
Around 2 months prior I'll email across a questionnaire for you to complete, this will collect information about your day now plans are likely to be firmly set (locations, times etc). With 4 weeks to go we'll have a quick planning 'meeting' to discuss how preparations are going, I can help with any queries when it comes to writing a photo list or sending over your questionnaire.
It's you wedding day. Relax and be present for every joyous moment knowing your memories are in safe hands. It's one of the best days of your life, so have fun!
Whilst in your just-married bubble I drop a few sneak peeks to your inbox. I know how hard the waiting can be, so 24-48 hours after you say 'I do' I deliver a selection of images from across your day.
The photography is one of the only lasting physical aspects of your wedding day (cliché yes, but true), and I take the responsibility of creating it extremely seriously. My weekends are pretty much a party each week, but weekdays I'm at the laptop for the editing '9 to 5'. I lock myself away at the computer making the finishing touches to your images, ensuring you and your guests look your very best. Every image is individually edited in my signature style.
As soon as they're ready your images will be uploaded and emailed to you. As soon as your gallery hits your inbox it's fully sharable and your photos downloadable. If you choose to share your gallery with loved ones, there is no limit on visitors and all digital downloads are FREE. Soon after I pop your deliverable keepsakes in the post.
