Visitors can use this website without the need to provide any personal data. If you want to make an enquiry or purchase any photographic services, then the processing of some personal data will be necessary. Any personal data, such as the name, address, email address or telephone number will always be collected and stored in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in accordance with any UK specific data protection regulations.

This Policy explains when and why Lane & Grey collects personal information about those who visit their website and how it is used and kept secure. The Policy may change over time, and by using this website, you’re agreeing to be bound by this Policy.
WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION IS COLLECTED?
Lane & Grey obtain information through their website in three ways: anonymously, directly and by a third-party.
1. Anonymously: Information collected may include your IP address, whether you are using a computer, tablet or phone, which country you are located, which website pages are accessed and how long you may spend on these pages.
2. Directly: Information collected when you make an enquiry, or purchase products and/or photographic services. This will be your name, email address and any details about your Wedding Day, Session and/or Event which you supply.
3. Third Party: If purchasing a product or service using an online payment method, your card information is not processed or held by Lane & Grey but it is collected by a third party payment processor (PayPal or Stripe) who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit transactions. The only information Lane & Grey receive from the third party are notifications that a transaction has taken place, with the name of the payee, address if supplied for product delivery, last few digits of the payment card, and the date and amount of the transaction.
EMAIL (MICROSOFT OFFICE FOR BUSINESS)
Storage of email addresses and phone numbers. Archiving communication threads and messages containing personal details about your Wedding Day/Session/Event (freely supplied or given by the Visitor/Client). Transferring identifiable images. This account is password protected with 2-step authentication enabled.
WEBSITE (PIXIESET)
Only anonymous information is captured automatically when visiting the Lane & Grey website. Personalised data is only collected when supplied by the Visitor/Client, for example via Contact Form. Only the information supplied by the Visitor/Client is collected and/or archived. Identifiable photos are displayed with consent. This account is password protected with 2-step authentication enabled.
ONLINE GALLERY (PIXIESET)
Identifiable photos are shared with Clients. The account is protected by a password with 2-step authentication enabled.
Individual Client Galleries have their own passwords shared only with the Client. Lane & Grey will not share this password with anyone as they are unable to confirm if the Client(s) have given consent for it to be shared. Sharing of Client Gallery passwords is the responsibility of the Client(s).
Email addresses provided within the Gallery are used to allow the Client to select favourites and download images, these details are not seen by anyone else visiting the Gallery or anyone outside of Lane & Grey.
SOCIAL MEDIA - FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, THREADS AND LINKEDIN
Identifiable photos are displayed with consent. Names, Venues and Wedding/Session/Event details will only be shared/included in photo captions with consent. Direct messaging allows for email addresses and phone numbers to be transferred. These accounts are password protected with 2-step authentication enabled when possible.
FILE STORAGE - ONE DRIVE.
Identifiable photos are stored privately on physical hard drives and/or uploaded to a secure OneDrive. Only Lane & Grey have access to a Client’s personal folders.
WHO IS COLLECTING AND CAN ACCESS THE INFORMATION?
Lane & Grey are the controller of any data that passes through their website, and Lane & Grey employees are the only people who will have access to this information, and:
- Will not sell or rent your information to any third parties
- Will not share your information with third parties for any marketing purposes.
HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION USED?
Lane & Grey will hold personal information on their systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as set out in the relevant contract with them. Any information you provide will be used to:
- Carry out any contractual obligations entered into.
- Seek your views or comments on the services provided.
- Notify you of any changes to Products/Services.
WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION?
Employees of Lane & Grey are the only people who have access to any information which is collected through their website or any other communications, and:
- Will not sell or rent your information to any third parties
- Will not share your information with third parties for any marketing purposes.
DIRECT MARKETING
Lane & Grey does not generate a newsletter, offer any subscriptions and does not generate bulk mail for marketing. If Lane & Grey contact you, it will be about an enquiry you have made or any photographic services agreed upon. All communications are sent directly from Lane & Grey.
SECURITY PRECAUTIONS
When you provide any personal information, Lane & Grey has systems in place to ensure it’s treated securely protecting against the loss, misuse or alteration of any information. Lane & Grey’s website is protected with SSL and a secure page lock icon will appear on your web browser to show that the page is secure.
Upon receiving your information, Lane & Grey do everything in our power to ensure its security. When Client(s) are given a password enabling them to access private website galleries, you/your company are responsible for sharing this password responsibly, and keeping it safe.
Any sensitive information such as credit or debit card details are encrypted and protected with 128-bit encryption on SSL by the third party responsible for taking payments (PayPal or Stripe).
AGED 16 OR UNDER..?
If you are aged 16 or under‚ please get your parent or guardian’s permission before providing Lane & Grey any personal information.
I WANT TO OPT OUT/WITHDRAW CONSENT OF MY DATA BEING STORED
All Clients will be asked if they grant permission for the use of their images for future marketing purposes by Lane & Grey, this will be asked alongside their initial contract. Answers are kept confidential. Consent can be altered or withdrawn at any time by sending an email to: hello@laneandgrey.com
RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN
If a Visitor has not contractually agreed to follow through with services provided by Lane & Grey, they are able to withdraw all their data from processing and storage immediately.
